“Training Summary: This course is designed to provide staff with behavior management strategies when working with traumatized youth and families. The aim of the course is to assist adults with an understanding of who the youth are, where they come from and why they do what they do, through an exploration of parental stress responses and childhood diagnoses. Participants will then formulate effective tools and techniques when engaging in trauma-informed work. Participants will be able to: ▪ Define external stressors for families of origin ▪ Identify parental responses to the stressors as well as diagnoses of childhood and adolescence ▪ Formulate a working case study for at least one resident/client using child development, separation and attachment milestones, losses and external stressor information TO REGISTER
