Foster Care Training

In this training, we will engage in discussion about relationally-informed approaches to serve and support complexly-traumatized youth in community based settings. Specifically, we will review two simple core components. We will engage critically about the history and of relational approaches and go on to consider why these approaches may be useful. We will then explore theoretical concepts that could be especially relevant. We will then practice applying these concepts to vignettes of foster youth and evaluate if such ideas generate depth and complexity.
