Dangers of Restraint and Seclusion (Ch. 7 “Safety and Dangers”) Examines the physical, emotional, and mental risks of using restraint and seclusion both for clients and for staff. Also places the use of crisis interventions into a cultural context and examines public perception of the work we do. Covers the particularly serious physical dangers that can occur, including death, and methods of preventing them.
