Foster Care Training

This all day training is for therapists, counselors, social workers, and others who are interested in learning how to apply directive and nondirective play techniques and work with youth and families in the child welfare or probation systems. This training provides play basics, such as materials needed in order to get started, cultural considerations, and contraindications. This training also consists of 2 parts, one on nondirective play techniques and another on directive play techniques. Both parts include videos, case studies, and experiential activities. The aim for this training is to provide participants with as much introductory information as possible in order to provide effective play based interventions for their clients.
