Youth in the foster care system are often more at risk for being vulnerably impacted by the community, culture, and relationships around them. Their experiences can either create opportunities or present challenges for healing the traumas that they have experienced. Providers in this training will explore cultural, economic, political, and social realities occurring outside of the organization and how these events can directly impact youth in the foster care system. Participants will explore best practices for working across differences and how to best collaborate within systems to deliver culturally relevant care. Participants will learn how to determine the needs of foster youth by modifying program culture to support these practices.
