Interpreters facilitate effective communication, ensuring accurate understanding of information and rights. They empower system involved youth to participate actively in legal proceedings and decision-making processes. Interpreters also bridge cultural and linguistic gaps, establishing trust, avoiding misunderstandings, and promoting fair and equitable treatment for system-involved youth. In this training Participants will be guided through a sequence of learning discussions to explore and understand how to work with interpreters effectively. Learning activities will include: lecture with concrete steps, self-reflection, storytelling of real life examples and participant question time.
