Training will provide a broad overview of child development (physical, language, cognitive, and social-emotional) during the ages of 0-5. In addition, the training will inform providers of existing tools to assess children 0-5 and provide time to practice using the Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQ). We will discuss how trauma may impact children during this developmental period. Providers will get an introduction to existing interventions developed to specifically address the needs and strengths of our youngest clients. Research has shown that screening and early interventions are effective at helping support the adaptive development of youth and to reduce the impact of trauma and other life stressors.
