Foster Care Training

This training is designed to strengthen the ability of child welfare professionals and crisis responders to communicate effectively during crisis situations involving children, youth, and families in foster care or adoption. Participants will learn to recognize common reactions to crises, apply trauma-informed verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, and utilize active listening and empathy to de-escalate situations. The training also addresses ethical considerations such as confidentiality and professional boundaries within child welfare practice
