Immigrant communities face unique challenges due to past and current immigration policies, yet they are an integral part of this country and they have unique assets, challenges and needs. As service providers we have the responsibility of providing services in a way that focuses on learning from and relating with their experience and culture to better service clients. In this training participants will learn about the social, cultural and historical context of the immigrant experience and how to support youth and families towards successful outcomes.
