Participants of this Professional Learning Community (PLC) will read Dr. Ken Hardy’s book Promoting Cultural Sensitivity in Supervision. Participants will engage in thoughtful discussion to increase collaborative learning and reinforce concepts over the course of 5 sessions.

Per Dr. Ken Hardy, the rapidly changing demographics of our society make it virtually mandatory for supervisors and clinicians to develop effective strategies for attending to issues of diversity throughout all domains of the clinical process. Even when the desire and commitment to be more culturally attuned are clear, possessing the “know how” to achieve such a lofty and often-difficult undertaking leaves many supervisors in a quandary.
