Being a resource parent is a voluntary role that is extremely important in the healing of abused and neglected children and when possible, their birth families. One aspect of foster care work is dealing with emergencies and crises. ALDEA works hard at providing adequate training; however, it is not the same as being in the situation. The training is intended to provide a reference guide and action steps to take in response to some typical emergencies you will encounter.
