This course is designed to impress upon participants the importance of providing youth with a solid foundation of supports, activities, and resources within their community. The course will identify different types of community resources that are appropriate for youth to be aware of and in contact with as well as a process for introducing youth to these programs taking into account safety, confidentiality, cultural appropriateness and age and developmental readiness.
