“This training delves into a culturally responsive framework for understanding adolescent and transition age youth – Yosso’s (2005) Community Cultural Wealth. The concept of community cultural wealth presents up to nine different forms of wealth that youth from historically oppressed communities of color possess despite the deficit views and oppression they face. These forms of wealth can be utilized to increase positive youth identity, foster trauma resilience and generate life skills competency and agency. This training will be facilitated through an intersectional youth development framework, acknowledging the ways that interlocking social oppressions frame diverse youth experience while learning how adults can intervene to create relationships and spaces of freedom, mutual trust and empowerment.. Please email [email protected] by 8/2/2022 to register for this training. “
