Foster Care and Juvenile Justice involved youth are at a high-risk for the commercial sex industry. This training provides an in-depth overview of CSEC within the larger legal framework of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act followed by a review of current statistics, myths about involvement, as well as the demand, pathways and precursors to involvement. Participants will hear case studies of survivors to highlight the risk factors for recruitment and be provided an overview of the physical, emotional, spiritual and social impacts of involvement.
