A specialized series of classes designed for parents, kinship caregivers and guardians* who are currently parenting children who have experienced trauma and loss as a part of their history. The trainings are intended to be taken individually, with each lesson offering insight and support for various topics. The course provides tools, techniques and information with the goal of empowering participants to effectively parent their child as they move towards healing and permanency (lifelong connections) within the relational context and beyond.
*Although the intended audience is caregivers, this curriculum can also be applicable and valuable to providers working with parents and caregivers as the tools are teachable and coachable and resources are provided that can be drawn upon in other contexts.
