Foster Care Training

One of the most significant challenges for those supporting LGBTQ+ system involved youth who have experienced social-emotional health disparities is to effectively engage them in managing their energy in the face of being burdened by responses to trauma or discrimination. In this training, we will explore how to enhance our capacity to support LGBTQ+ system involved youth by learning how to be an effective ally for System involved LGBTQ+ Youth and coach them on how to advocate for themselves in school, work, and life to attain improved outcomes. Practicing and sharing the methods outlined by this workshop will allow us to improve the practice of how we empower and support LGBTQ+ system-involved youth and families.
