Foster Care Training

It is common that system involved Transition Age Youth find it challenging to ask for what they want and need, especially without getting triggered by their emotions and feelings. We can support these youth by developing an understanding of how to successfully ask for wants and needs as well as apply a practical system of techniques to achieve their goals. In this class participants will learn how to support youth in having an understanding that it’s natural to have wants and needs, how to identify wants and needs, and as how emotions can affect this process. Techniques will be offered which will support system involved transition age youth to develop simple communication skills and achieve their wants and needs.
