Foster youth are at high risk of commercial sexual exploitation, so it is necessary for social service providers to learn how to effectively work with them. Harm reduction is being identified as a best practice for CSEC. This 1-day training will provide an overview of harm reduction and apply it with CSEC. The trainers will focus on applying harm reduction principles in alignment with the Stages of Change model with system involved youth. The trainers will also touch on risk identification and safety planning.
