“In this 2-hour training, we will continue our collective inquiry into psychodynamic approaches to serve and support traumatized people. We will briefly review previous analytic concepts and contextualize the concept of “”trauma”” in psychoanalysis. We will consider theories and theorists that are particularly applicable to and useful for the work of WestCoast’s programs. (Note: This will NOT – cannot be! – be a complete survey of all psychoanalytic theoretical and historical perspectives on trauma.) We will start with a didactic approach, move to application and inquiry using a vignette, and then close with a collective conversation.
