Foster Care Training

This advanced course will build off of Somatic strategies for trauma survivors. The majority of system-involved youth have experienced numerous traumas and distress. Often, the approach is to talk it out or refer the youth to talk therapy. While this is helpful, it’s essential to address how trauma, stress and adversity impact the body. This course teach participants additional somatic strategies to support trauma survivors with a focus on sexual assault survivors. Given that many trauma survivors struggle with anxiety and depression, the training will address how to support individuals with anxiety and depression
