Foster Care Training

In the Adoption 101 training, participants will learn what you can expect when you have a child already in your home, and you want to provide this child a forever home. What happens after you are identified as an adoptive placement for your foster child or children by the treatment team? Hana Verano will take participants step-by-step through the process of adoption; the meetings you need to attend, the paperwork you need to sign, and the documents you need to help provide. Ms. Verano will show where the steps are on an average timeline and explain why certain steps seem to take longer than others. Resources to help you prepare your foster child for adoption will be made available.
