Trainees will learn about the neurodiversity model and how to apply this model to assessment of ADHD. Topics covered will include the strengths and differences model, neurobiological impact of ADHD and the “ADHD brain”, differential diagnosis, giving feedback, and designing an ADHD battery. Trainees will incorporate clinical examples into their case conceptualization in this two week training.
Week 1
1) Check ins 2) Questions to contextualize the training/ current assessments/case examples to consider 3) Review of neurodiversity model 4) The ADHD Brain 5) ADHD and Neurodiversity
Week 2
1) Check ins 2) Designing a battery for ADHD Assessment 3) Giving useful feedback 4) ADHD and comorbid diagnoses (trauma, anxiety, mood, behavior, etc)
