THIS IS DAY ONE OF A TWO-DAY TRAINING, PLEASE SEE DAY TWO ON 7/3/23 This In Person 2-day facilitator training @ Alameda County Family Justice Center – 470 27th St. in Oakland provides commercial sexual exploitation (CSE) prevention curriculum designed to educate, equip & empower youth while providing them with tools & opportunities for discussion to prevent them from unknowingly becoming victims of commercial sexual exploitation (CSE). An overview of CSEC which includes what it is, examples of CSEC, the CSEC business model and the objectification & sexualization of women & girls in the entertainment industry. Discuss risk factors for involvement in CSEC, the dangers of the Internet & social media, the differences between a relationship with a boyfriend/girlfriend & an exploiter and healthy relationships. Discuss different types of exploiters & recruiters, their tactics & their pickup lines. Each workshop will review safety & resource tips to ensure that youth know what resources are available for them & who they can reach out to for help.
