An important question that many who support system-involved youth ask is: “What supports improved outcomes for system-involved youth? Is success based on the use of specialized techniques or do other factors account for the change? Luckily there is an evidence-based practice (EBP) called PCOMS (Partners for Change Outcome Management System) that fosters youth-directed and outcome-informed processes which promote partnering with system-involved youth and getting their feedback to develop and sustain healthy, productive relationships. In this training we will explore how PCOMS can support understanding of the individualized needs of system-involved youth and the development of a relational alliance that leads to improved success and positive outcomes for system-involved youth and their families.
