Given that alcohol consumption is prevalent amongst adults and youth, it’s important for social service providers to understand the potential harms associated with alcohol misuse as it can impact relationships, learning and work performance and even prenatal development. This training will provide an overview of alcohol misuse amongst youth and adults and strategies to consume alcohol responsibly. Additionally, the training will discuss fetal alcohol exposure conditions, including discussions illuminating its scope, risk factors, screening and how to provide supports.
