This training covers the fundamental philosophy of DBT modality and how DBT based skills can be useful for transition aged youth. The training will begin with how DBT skills may be an effective modality to use with youth who experience chronic crisis and will review DBT skills that youth may find easy to utilize and remember. A number of focuses will include emotion regulation, emotional awareness, crisis tolerance, and interpersonal conflict. The goal of this training is so that practitioners and service providers may expand on tools for which to use with youth in crisis. Due to the quarantine order, this training will be provided in two parts.
