This course will provide an overview for attendees on principles and practices of teaming to build a working knowledge and integrate practices from service providers that work with youth in foster care. The course will frame teaming practices from Trauma-Informed Competencies, Community Justice, and Systems Theory to help develop strong professional relationships, as well as growth within service provider teams. This course will deliver a stepwise approach that lays the foundation of these principles for the application and analysis of the practices through a combination of group discussions. Attendees will discuss and practice exercises to expand conceptualization of teaming to benefit youth and families while facilitating an analysis of alliance, privilege, and care for trauma impacted foster youth. Through participation in this course, attendees will be equipped to provide care coordination while working in child and family teams to ensure the wellness of the most vulnerable people we serve.
