Foster Care Training

Providers working at the Assessment Center offer support and assistance to youth entering foster care that have recently experienced one or more traumatic events. Providers working with foster youth in this setting can often experience secondary trauma. During this workshop, providers will engage in discussions on identifying and implementing strategies to reduce the impact of secondary trauma. Providers will learn about how to assess their own emotional and physical needs and understand the importance of reaching out for emotional support.
