Foster Care Training

Participants will receive an overview of current statistics on child abuse, including information regarding types, ages, victims, and perpetrators of abuse. The impact of various forms of abuse upon child actions and presentations for care will be presented and discussed. Types of reportable child abuse will be reviewed, as will obligations of care providers of children in out-of-home care as mandated reporters. Training will also cover all aspects of accurate incident reporting including how, why and when to write an IR, who receives incident reports and information gathered from incident reports.
