Foster Care Training

Community-based healing practices for youth involve unique challenges for care providers. This seminar will explore the dynamics unique to community work and tele-health, including such considerations as race, power, and privilege in relationships, maintaining healthy boundaries while practicing trauma-informed engagement strategies, and awareness of ways a provider’s own history and identity can impact the youth’s healing. Strategies to recognize and resolve unique challenges will be learned.
