Foster Care Training

If you could start from scratch, how would you create services for “foster youth” or “system involved youth”? This interactive workshop will encourage participants to explore wellness values including those specific to different communities and cultures. It will then look at those values in comparison to how systems are providing services and see where values are aligned and in conflict. Finally, participants will take time to create action plans for well communities and systems. Training participants will explore these challenges through a social intelligence paradigm through which skills that can be learned. Participants will take away straightforward strategies to better interact with and support system involved youth as they learn and experience themselves in today’s world.
