Foster Care Training

This training will provide information and tools to providers working with the caregivers of children ages 3-5 with emotional and behavioral challenges. The content will focus on sharing in caregiver friendly language about the root causes of the emotional and behavioral challenges and why their children may become easily frustrated, and easily angered. The content will focus on strategies to increase caregivers’ knowledge about their child’s personality and temperament. The trainer will share strategies to provide caregivers with tools to use at home to support de-escalation and boundary setting, meeting the child’s need for control and autonomy, collaborative problem solving after the incident.
