Welcome to the Foster Care Training website, which features a monthly schedule of courses offered at no cost to care providers of foster and adoptive care children in Alameda, Mendocino and Solano Counties. Each month, we offer a wide variety of courses designed to empower foster and adoptive care providers with tools to support the vital services they deliver.
The Alameda County Course Catalog, the Mendocino County Course Catalog and the Solano County Course Catalog provide course listings sorted by categories, including Administrative & Organizational, Arts & Activities, Behavioral Interventions, Child Development, Family Issues, Health & Safety, Trauma Impact, and Other.
The Foster Care Training Program is made possible by a grant from Title IV-E of the Social Security Act, which provides funding for child welfare services. All courses are offered free of charge to foster and adoptive care providers by our Alameda County, Mendocino County and Solano County partner organizations that specialize in working with foster and adoptive care children and their families.
We hope this program serves as a useful resource to all of those in our community who serve our foster and adoptive care children.
