Lecture – Focus on the difference between challenging behavior and trauma.  Overview of building resiliency and protective factors.  Introduce window of tolerance to ground understanding of what type of regulation skill you may use based on the clients presentation (hypo or hyper arousal.)

Small Breakout groups (each group will have a material to review, be asked to discuss a specific set of questions to help them apply the knowledge to a client scenario and present back to the team). Reflective questions will be around using trauma informed strategies for building resilience in the following areas:
a. Safe and Predictable Relationships and Relationship building and Attunement
b. Creating Safe and Predictable Environments
c. Teaching Social and Emotional Skills: ID sensations/emotions and How Big/Small They are, Self-Regulation Skills and Problem-Solving Strategies.

There will be reflective questions that pertain to family engagement and child engagement.
