What are your cultural values and personal goals? How do they make you better at the work that you do with foster youth and families? The cultural humility model encourages us to deepen our understanding of ourselves in order to provide more culturally responsive services. This is a process-oriented training in which participants will develop mission and vision statements – much like organizations do – to explore their own personal sense of purpose and its connection the work that they do. This connection will help participants maintain a positive outlook while providing services and strengthen protective factors against compassion fatigue.
