Presentation includes four workshops that will help assure youth and caregivers to become aware of community resources. Educational and Community Resources will be reviewed. Participants will learn and discuss issues in the Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transsexual (LGBTQ) including Caring for LGBTQ Youth, risk reduction counseling, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. Participants will learn about Drug and Alcohol Awareness and be able to identify the different components of keeping youth drug free, identify and utilize resources available to maintain a drug free community and family. During this course participants will gain knowledge about the Independent Living Program and how to utilize resources provided by ILP that includes but not limited to daily living skills, Independent life skill classes, Education Resources etc.
