This 3-part experiential training series will introduce participants to Restorative Justice. Participants learn about how Restorative Practices have been useful strategies to help youth in care minimize difficulties in other systems (e.g., school, legal/justice, etc.). Participants will learn about the foundations of restorative practices and how they may benefit youth by addressing harm through restorative circles, providing a frame for conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence principles. This training draws examples from Restorative Justice Practices used within school settings throughout the Bay Area in order to provide an approach that diverges from traditional punitive ways of addressing harm with youth.
