The Presenter will review issues and dilemmas related to Co-occurring Disorders that affect services for Foster Youth. The focus of this training is on foster youth who are dually diagnosed with a primary mental health disorder and a secondary diagnosis of Substance Abuse. This training describes the critical components of effective treatment. Barriers to implementation and strategies for overcoming them are also discussed.
