Some of our most difficult children and youth have invisible neurological glitches that underlie apparently purposeful behavior. This training will give you a way to identify the signs of the most problematic of these, and approaches that have been found helpful. Both adults and children affected by fetal alcohol exposure will not respond productively to traditional therapy or parenting. Without recognizing and understanding these patterns, treatment–and placement–can be extremely frustrating at best. With this information you’ll be able to work differently, and probably not quite so hard to help these children and youth!
