The impact and significance of a traumatic event often challenges, throws into question and/or destroys an individual’s sense of self, along with his understandings of human beings, the world and God. Initially these challenges are experienced as disorienting and are characterized by profound feelings of loss, unreality, meaninglessness, hopelessness and terror. If a traumatized individual is properly supported and guided through the unfamiliar, frightening and chaotic spaces that are opened up by experiences of trauma then s/he is afforded the possibility of discovering a higher and more comprehensive form of consciousness, along with deeper insights into the nature and meaning of life on Earth.

This workshop provide an introduction to the spiritual path that individuals are often unknowingly exposed and/or thrown onto as a result of traumatic losses and a subsequent need to make sense of what happened to them and develop a sense of meaning and purpose that will not only help them cope with and transcend what they have traumatically experienced but also guide them for the rest of their lives.
