This training series teaches evidence based practices using mindfulness and movement that can address traumatic reactions by turning off the trauma response and increasing self-regulation. It includes psychoeducation about neurobiology and trauma which can be shared with caregivers and providers to reduce the impact of secondary trauma. Participants will be using these practices with their clients, caregivers of clients, and for themselves. They will be tracking the outcomes of their efforts to increase accountability and assess the efficacy of the interventions. This will be a 6 session series from 9:30-11am on Mondays.
The dates are: 2/4, 2/11, (no meeting on Presidents’ Day), 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, and 3/18. To enroll you must commit to all 6 sessions
