Foster Care Training

This full-day course will support professionals in offering trainings to providers and parents involved with youth in foster care and the juvenile justice system. Participants will practice facilitation skills, experiment with activities, cultivate the skills needed to create measurable, specific objectives, and explore how to build a training based on those objectives. Participants will consider the needs of the audiences they will be presenting to, rehearse dealing with microaggressions, storytelling, and facilitating difficult conversations. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of how to create and present training content to meet multiple learning styles and evaluate their effectiveness in delivering information to promote successful outcomes for system-involved youth and families.
