Foster Care Training

Through this training you will be able to describe the value and role of communication in developing relationships with children, recognize typical parental responses to children and how these can hinder relationships and shut down communication, identify your own typical communication patterns when responding to children, list the elements of nonverbal communication and describe the effect on others, list the component skills of the Active Listening Response and demonstrate and practice the use of Active Listening Response.
