This is a four part series that will deal with how early attachment shapes development and how to assess for and intervene in issues around attachment for those in a caregiving or other helping relationship with foster children 0 to 5 years old. This series is designed for those interested in gaining familiarity with the foundation and principles of Early Childhood Mental Health. As a result of this workshop participants will be able to identify basic developmental milestones and concerns in young children, gain practical knowledge in how to intervene with young children, be introduced to reflective practices and utilize reflection in thinking about the cultural influences and impacts on young children and their families. Participants are encouraged to attend all four in the series, as each training will build upon one another.
