Presenter will review and define Child Abuse and Neglect, Risk Factors, Incidence, Community Costs, Lasting Effects and Prevention. Mandated reporting will be discussed. The presenter will identify the various types of Abuse including Physical, Sexual and Emotional abuse and its lasting effects on children, families and communities.Presenter will review common signs of abuse and what participants can do to intervene and hope to make a difference in the youth’s life. Participants will be given tools to properly identify and report suspected child abuse.

  4. Presenter will promote discussion amongst participant to identify ways to support victims of abuse and assisting the healing process.
