This training is designed to help participants become familiar with the idea, statistics and prevention techniques of suicidal ideation. Participants will discuss the problem of youth suicide and learn how to recognize of the signs of suicidal ideation and techniques to help prevent suicide. This training focuses on active listening and responding to client’s questions related to suicide. Participants will develop their listening skills and become aware of ways to support clients in the expression of emotions related to suicide.
