Foster Care Training

This is the fifth training in a series of skill-based trainings on the topic of family support, and will provide concepts and opportunity to practice direct skills related to enhancing family’s ability to enact their goals by building participants’ skills in coaching and shaping family conversations. This is relevant to providers responsible for providing effective support to families with children returning from, or at risk of entering, out of home care. In this course, participants will learn an array of skills to interrupt maladaptive communication and build upon identified strengths. Participants will be provided with examples of family coaching and given opportunity to practice helping families have more productive and healing conversations to enhance overall wellbeing.
