Have you ever felt unsafe in your work setting? Do you have a safety plan in case a client becomes threatening or violent? If you work with client’s who have a history of interpersonal violence, you know that they have the potential to become violent in your presence. It’s important to protect yourself and your clients from acting out their angry feelings. Learn to assess for violence potential, identify the signs of increasing upset and de-escalate anger. Participants will develop a safety plan for their work site (office, school or home visits).
