Foster Care Training

One of the behaviors that traumatized children most often demonstrate in their foster homes is a fixation with sex, sexual topics, masturbation, acting-out sexually with other children, approaching adults in a sexual way, and/or seeking sexual favors and activities from adults. For most resource parents, these behaviors on the part of their children are a source of concern. In this training, we’ll look at why some traumatized children are so overly focused on sexual behaviors and topics, and at what parents can do to help their children to be less focused on these topics.
