Deciding to become a foster, kin, and or adoptive parent is a big step. Understanding the components of foster care, kin and adoption is crucial to understanding if this is a right path for you. The Treatment Foster Care Training Series will help participants understand what fostering and adopting is all about. This process furnishes you with information about the youth who come into the foster care system. The classes also boost your knowledge and confidence to meet the challenge of taking youth into your home and to be sure you are ready to follow through on the commitment.
Discussion series include: the role of Community Care License (CCL), discussion over regulations, in addition to prudent parenting, reporting requirements, youth in care that identify as LGBTQ, & youth that been commercially sexually exploited.
